In late 2015 the Chamber of Commerce, with the financial support of Resolution Copper Mining, embarked on a large, long term, project to attract new business and help our existing businesses increase their bottom line. We hired several consultants, all with various areas of expertise, who held community meetings, interviewed hundreds of people and produced recommendations for what needed to be done.
Our objective is to “Build a diverse and sustainable economy for the Superior Community”
In order to meet this objective we adopted 4 goals.
Three sub-committees were created; Marketing, Art and Culture and Blight Mitigation. All are working hard toward our goals and will be posting updates on the website periodically. We welcome comments and suggestions to be sent to the Chamber of Commerce through our website www.superiorarizonachamber.org

Resolution Copper is working with the community as we safely and responsibly develop one of the largest copper mines in North America, bringing jobs and long-term economic benefits to Arizona’s Copper Triangle region.
For more than a decade, we've listened proactively during ongoing public consultation about the Resolution Copper project. We understand concerns remain. We are committed to continued engagement with communities and Native American Tribes and working to seek consent before any decision on the project's development.
On Friday, January 15, the project reached an important milestone in the federal permitting process. The US Forest Service published the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Resolution Copper, informed by more than seven years of independent study and public engagement.
We appreciate the Arizonans who used this opportunity to voice their support for the project and the potential long-term benefits it can bring to the area.
