Arizona is known for mining, but did you know Arizona has more wild burros than any other state? Burros and mining go together like peanut butter and jelly! Come celebrate the rich history of mining and burros in Arizona during Superior's Apache Leap Mining Festival and Superior Burro Run!

There will be live music, a beer garden, mining competitions, carnival, vendors, kids activities, a Sunday morning parade, a burro poop drop, and of course: burros racing down Main Street!

This is a truly unique event that you don't want to miss!

Stay in our unique and spacious two-story home (upstairs ceilings are 6'4" in height) in the quaint old mining town of Superior, Arizona! Nestled between the majestic mountains of Picket Post and Apache Leap, this comfortable Airbnb boasts 1-6 bedrooms according to your needs. It has a big open living room, kitchen, and dining room that is perfect for family and friend gatherings. The bottom floor has 2 bathrooms and one bathroom upstairs.

The original house was built in 1914 when Superior was a booming silver mining town. Copper and gold were found in 1875, paving the way for a long run in mining history in the area.

Señor Albert B. Gomez and Señora Emma E. Gomez added to the original structure in 1973 to accommodate their growing family of 7 children. Come and enjoy a day, weekend, or longer in Casa De Gomez with its old eclectic charm mixed with modern amenities.
