Resolution Copper is working with the community as we safely and responsibly develop one of the largest copper mines in North America, bringing jobs and long-term economic benefits to Arizona’s Copper Triangle region.
For more than a decade, we've listened proactively during ongoing public consultation about the Resolution Copper project. We understand concerns remain. We are committed to continued engagement with communities and Native American Tribes and working to seek consent before any decision on the project's development.
On Friday, January 15, the project reached an important milestone in the federal permitting process. The US Forest Service published the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Resolution Copper, informed by more than seven years of independent study and public engagement.
We appreciate the Arizonans who used this opportunity to voice their support for the project and the potential long-term benefits it can bring to the area.
Our Mission: "Uniting generosity with community needs to promote lasting change in peoples’ lives"
Our Credo: "United Way Fights for the Health, Education and Financial Stability
of every person in Pinal County"
Since 1981 United Way of Pinal County has been serving our communities with programs geared to improve the lives of every person in Pinal County. The way we accomplish that is by identifying the root causes of some of the most pressing problems and partnering with organizations to help us provide the possible outcomes. In many cases, United Way of Pinal County has created the programs and services of some problems that haven't been addressed.
United Way of Pinal County is accountable to a group of volunteers or Board of Directors representatives geographically and demographically of Pinal County. This group oversees the leadership, policies, finances, programmatic and fundraising efforts.
